Adventure Comics #113

Adventure Comics #113 was published by DC Comics in February 1947 during the Golden Age of comic books. At this stage in its long history, the title was a prominent anthology series that served as the primary home for the Superboy character, who was rapidly gaining popularity as a standalone feature. The issue reflects the postwar editorial shift toward more domestic and lighthearted suburban adventures for the teenage Man of Steel.

The cover and interior stories from this period were shaped by the editorial direction of Whitney Ellsworth and the artistic contributions of long-time Superboy illustrators like Joe Shuster, who influenced the character's visual identity. The design and narrative tone were crafted to appeal to a younger demographic, focusing on the intersection of mundane adolescent concerns and extraordinary capabilities. While individual issues from this era were produced in large quantities for newsstand consumption, they are now regarded as significant pieces of DC's mid-century publishing history.
