Alpha Flight #128

Alpha Flight #128 was published in January 1994, appearing during a period of transition for Marvel's Canadian superhero team. The series, originally created by John Byrne to showcase a diverse cast of uniquely powered individuals, had reached a point of decline by the mid-nineties. This specific issue features the writing of Simon Furman and artwork by Craig Brasfield, reflecting the shift toward the gritty, high-contrast aesthetic that dominated the comic industry at the time.

The narrative within this issue serves as part of the broader 'Age of Apocalypse' era buildup and the final stretches of the title's original volume. Design-wise, the cover and interior panels represent the typical superhero house style of the era, focusing on kinetic movement and the increasingly complex team dynamics that characterized the Alpha Flight roster. It remains a notable piece for completists tracking the conclusion of the series before its subsequent reboots and limited-run revivals.
