Aquaman #25

Aquaman #25, published by DC Comics in early 1966, belongs to the classic Silver Age run of the character's solo series. Created during a period when DC was revitalizing its secondary heroes through the imaginative, high-concept storytelling of writer Bob Haney and artist Nick Cardy, the issue reflects the era's focus on expanding the mythos of Atlantis. It serves as a quintessential example of the swashbuckling, sci-fi-infused fantasy adventures that defined the character's aesthetic during the mid-1960s.

Nick Cardy's cover and interior art are particularly celebrated for their fluid, dynamic rendering of aquatic environments and expressive character work. Cardy was instrumental in giving Aquaman a distinct visual identity, moving away from simple undersea depictions toward a more sophisticated, moody style that balanced heroic fantasy with vibrant, kinetic comic book energy. The issue was received as a standard but high-quality entry in the series, contributing to the steady, enduring popularity of Aquaman among fans of mid-century DC titles.
