Ben's Bande #1

Ben's Bande #1 originates from the Belgian comic tradition, created by the artist Ben Heine. The series emerged as a whimsical exploration of characters navigating surreal, sketch-based landscapes, blending traditional illustration with Heine's signature style of mixing photography and pencil drawing. It was conceived as a lighthearted narrative project designed to engage younger readers while showcasing the unique, interactive aesthetic that brought the author to international attention.

The design of the series centers on the interplay between reality and imagination, with the title characters rendered in a clean, expressive line art that pops against real-world backgrounds. Upon its release, the debut issue was noted for its experimental visual approach, receiving praise from fans of contemporary independent comics who valued the integration of mixed media. It stands as a distinctive entry in the artist's broader portfolio of visual storytelling.
