Boule et Bill #38

Boule et Bill number 38, titled 'Billes de Gosse,' continues the long-standing legacy of the beloved Franco-Belgian comic series created by Jean Roba in 1959. By the time this volume was produced, the series had established itself as a staple of European humor comics, centered on the charming domestic life of a young boy named Boule and his irrepressible cocker spaniel, Bill. This specific entry maintains the series' characteristic focus on gentle, observational comedy, reflecting the evolution of the brand as it transitioned through various creative stewards while upholding the spirit of the original concept.

Following Jean Roba's retirement, the series was passed to illustrator Laurent Verron, who took over the artistic duties to preserve the classic visual style established decades earlier. Verron worked to honor the original character designs and the warm, rounded aesthetic that made the series a household name. The volume was received by fans as a faithful continuation of the series, praised for maintaining the lighthearted, episodic nature that has defined the interactions between the boy, his dog, and their family since the late 1950s.
