Boule et Bill #29

Boule et Bill, created by Jean Roba in 1959, centers on the whimsical adventures of a young boy and his spirited cocker spaniel. Volume 29, titled '莽a va pas 莽a?', continues the series' established tradition of gag-a-day comics that celebrate the lighthearted relationship between a child and his pet. By the time this installment was published, the series had become a staple of Franco-Belgian humor, celebrated for Roba’s expressive character work and the gentle, observational comedy that appealed to generations of readers.

The design of the volume adheres to the classic format of the series, featuring the iconic character models that Roba refined over decades. While the later installments in the series involved collaborative efforts to maintain the production schedule, the artistic vision remained deeply rooted in the warm, round-edged aesthetic that defined the duo's look. Upon release, the volume was received as a reliable addition to the long-running series, maintaining the wholesome, family-oriented tone that has made the franchise an enduring fixture in European comic book culture.
