Colección Miguelanxo Prado #7

The Colección Miguelanxo Prado, published by Norma Editorial in the 1990s, was designed to consolidate the expansive portfolio of the acclaimed Spanish illustrator and comic artist. Miguelanxo Prado became an internationally recognized figure in the medium for his sophisticated approach to visual storytelling, blending surrealist imagery with a distinctively painterly aesthetic. The seventh volume in this series serves as a curated showcase of his narrative work, reflecting a period where Prado’s influence was cementing his reputation as a master of the graphic medium in Europe and beyond.

The design of this collection emphasizes the clarity of line and atmospheric use of color that define Prado’s style. By compiling his specific narratives, the publisher aimed to present a retrospective that highlighted his technical versatility and thematic depth, moving away from standard comic book formatting toward a more archival, high-quality presentation. Critics and readers alike received the series as a definitive reference for Prado’s artistic evolution, noting that it successfully bridged the gap between traditional comic illustration and fine art sensibilities.
