Colección TMEO #2

Colección TMEO #2 emerged during the mid-1990s as part of a series of monographic booklets published by the legendary Spanish satirical magazine TMEO. Based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, the magazine was a staple of the underground comix scene in Spain, known for its irreverent, provocative, and often scatological humor that pushed the boundaries of political and social commentary during the post-Franco era.

This specific issue focuses on the work of Mauro Entrialgo, a seminal figure in Spanish alternative comics. The design and content reflect the 'hard' style characteristic of TMEO, featuring gritty linework and dark, sardonic narratives that defined the magazine's identity. It was received by readers as a vital piece of counter-cultural ephemera, serving as both a curated anthology of the author's work and a testament to the DIY spirit of the Spanish independent publishing movement.
