Colette Decides to Die #5

Colette Decides to Die is a limited-run independent comic series that emerged during the mid-2010s alternative comics boom. It was conceived as a meditation on existentialism and urban isolation, utilizing a minimalist, high-contrast aesthetic that draws heavily from the tradition of underground zine culture. Issue number five serves as a pivotal mid-series installment, crafted to shift the internal narrative focus toward the protagonist's introspection regarding her own agency.

The series was written and illustrated by an independent creator who sought to break away from traditional panel structure in favor of fluid, atmospheric page layouts. Upon its release, the fifth issue was noted by smaller independent press critics for its evocative use of negative space and its departure from typical linear storytelling conventions. It remains a sought-after piece for collectors of contemporary indie serials, valued primarily for its specific role in defining the series' experimental visual vocabulary.
