Cud Comics #2

Cud Comics was a notable contribution to the underground comix movement, emerging from the vibrant Leeds scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The series served as a satirical and often surreal outlet for artists associated with the local alternative music and zine culture, capturing a distinctly British, lo-fi aesthetic that reacted against the more polished mainstream comic industry of the era.

Issue number two continued the series' signature blend of crude humor and inventive graphic narratives, featuring work by creators like John McCrea and other artists closely tied to the UK independent press. Designed to be accessible and intentionally abrasive, the publication reflected the DIY ethos of the period, gaining a modest but dedicated following among fans of counter-culture media who valued its unfiltered, idiosyncratic approach to storytelling.
