Cuentos de Misterio #7

Cuentos de Misterio was a Mexican comic book series published by Editorial Novaro during the mid-20th century. This publication was part of a larger trend in Latin American media that sought to provide affordable, accessible horror and suspense fiction to a mass audience, often drawing aesthetic inspiration from the pulp traditions of the United States while developing a distinct local flavor in its storytelling approach.

The series relied on a rotation of artists and writers common to the industry at the time, prioritizing atmospheric black-and-white illustrations and gripping, episodic narratives. Issue #7 remains a representative example of the publisher’s commitment to gothic themes and suspenseful imagery, which helped the brand maintain a loyal readership across Mexico and parts of Latin America during its operational years.
