Dark Horse Presents #120

Dark Horse Presents #120, published in May 1997, served as a vital component of Dark Horse Comics' flagship anthology series. The title was established in 1986 to provide a platform for creator-owned work and experimental storytelling that fell outside the scope of mainstream superhero imprints. By the mid-1990s, the anthology had become a cornerstone of the independent comics movement, allowing established creators and emerging talent to collaborate on shorter, character-driven narratives.

This specific issue is notable for its inclusion of chapters from serialized stories that defined the era's alternative comics landscape. The design and editorial direction were spearheaded by the Dark Horse creative team, who maintained a commitment to diverse artistic styles ranging from gritty noir to surrealist fantasy. As with many issues from this period, it was received as a reliable showcase for high-quality production values, serving both as a testing ground for new concepts and a reliable publication for the series' dedicated readership.
