Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft #132

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft, often referred to as the DDSH, is a long-running German comic book series first published by Ehapa Verlag in 1965. The series was designed to provide a dedicated home for high-quality Disney comic material, primarily focusing on stories by Carl Barks and, subsequently, other notable creators like Don Rosa. Issue #132, released in the early 1990s, continues this legacy of curating curated classic Duck adventures for the German-speaking market, acting as a bridge between the shorter daily strips and the longer, more complex comic book narratives.

The design and visual identity of the Sonderheft series were heavily influenced by the aesthetic traditions of American Disney comics, though adapted for the European magazine format. Issue #132 features the characteristic bright, narrative-driven cover art that became synonymous with the series' appeal to both children and adult collectors. Throughout its history, the publication has been praised for its commitment to editorial quality and for fostering a deep appreciation for the craft of comic storytelling in Germany, ultimately becoming one of the most successful and enduring Disney comic series in the country.
