Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft #269

Die tollsten Geschichten von Donald Duck – Sonderheft, often referred to by collectors as the DDSH, is a long-running German comic book series first published in 1965 by Ehapa. It was originally conceived to provide a platform for high-quality, long-form Disney stories that did not fit the format of the weekly Micky Maus magazine. Over the decades, it has evolved into a staple of German comic culture, prized by enthusiasts for its consistent inclusion of material from masters of the Disney medium such as Carl Barks and Don Rosa.

Issue number 269, released in the early 2000s, follows the series' established tradition of featuring a curated mix of classic reprints and contemporary Disney comic work. The design ethos of the Sonderheft series emphasizes the integrity of the original artwork, often preserving the classic coloring styles and layouts that defined the mid-century Duck universe. Like its predecessors, this specific issue served as an accessible entry point for new readers while maintaining the nostalgic aesthetic that has anchored the series for generations.
