Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme #16

Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme number 16 was published in April 1990 by Marvel Comics during a period when the series was heavily focused on the character's mystical struggles against powerful supernatural threats. This specific issue features the creative work of writer Roy Thomas and artist Jackson Guice, who collaborated to navigate the complex magical lore established throughout the series. The narrative captures the tone of 1990s superhero storytelling, balancing dense exposition regarding arcane dimensions with the character's traditional role as Earth's protector.

The cover art and interior illustrations reflect the distinct aesthetic transitions of the era, moving away from the surrealist interpretations of earlier decades toward a more contemporary comic book style. Jackson Guice, known for his clean lines and character-focused layouts, provided a visual consistency that grounded the abstract, high-concept threats faced by Doctor Strange. The issue is regarded by collectors as a representative example of the Sorcerer Supreme's long-running solo title, showcasing the consistent output of Marvel's editorial team during the late twentieth century.
