Dragon Ball Chāo: Qīlóngzhū Chāo #12

Dragon Ball Super, known in its original Japanese serialization as Dragon Ball Chō, serves as the canonical successor to Akira Toriyama's seminal work. Issue number 12 is part of the ongoing monthly manga run published in V Jump, which officially began in 2015 to bridge the narrative gap established during the series' multi-decade hiatus. This chapter continues the 'Future Trunks' story arc, a fan-favorite narrative sequence that explores alternate timelines and deepens the multiversal lore of the franchise.

The manga is illustrated by Toyotarou, an artist hand-picked by Toriyama himself for his ability to replicate the kinetic energy and character designs of the original Dragon Ball aesthetic. Toyotarou's design process emphasizes clear, high-octane action sequences that pay homage to the 1980s and 1990s visual style while incorporating modern digital polish. Upon its release, the chapter was met with significant interest from the international community, as the manga serves as both a companion and a stylistic refinement of the concurrently airing animated television series.
