Dragon Ball Chāo: Qīlóngzhū Chāo #9

Dragon Ball Super, known in its localized Chinese serialization as Dragon Ball Chāo, represents the official continuation of Akira Toriyama's seminal manga series. Issue #9 picks up during the climactic arcs of the series, continuing the narrative established after the defeat of Majin Buu. This installment is part of the monthly serialization efforts aimed at capturing a new generation of readers while maintaining continuity with the original legacy, featuring the signature high-stakes battles and comedic character dynamics that define the franchise.

The visual direction for this series is led by artist Toyotarou, who was personally selected by Toriyama to illustrate the manga. Toyotarou's design philosophy focuses on replicating the kinetic energy and clean line work of the original series while adapting to the more fluid, modern aesthetic of the anime. Upon release, the series has been received as a vital expansion of the Dragon Ball mythos, praised for its ability to integrate new transformations and cosmic threats into the established lore of the Z Fighters.
