ElfQuest: Jink #3

ElfQuest: Jink #3 was published in 1995 as part of a spin-off miniseries set in the futuristic, dystopian world of the World of Two Moons. The series was created by Wendy and Richard Pini, the visionaries behind the sprawling ElfQuest saga, and was designed to explore a darker, cyber-influenced iteration of their established lore. The story follows a young street-smart protagonist named Jink, whose psychic abilities and outsider status provide a lens into the rigid social hierarchies of the setting.

The visual direction for the series, including issue #3, was handled by artist Arron Daugherty. Daugherty aimed for a gritty, angular aesthetic that contrasted sharply with the traditional, fluid fantasy art often associated with the main ElfQuest titles. Upon its release, the series was received as a stylistic departure that pushed the boundaries of the ElfQuest universe, garnering interest from readers who appreciated the shift toward science-fantasy and a more contemporary, serialized comic book format.
