Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy #2

Exquisite Corpses: Rascal Randy #2 is part of a collaborative indie comic project that emerged from the vibrant alternative comics scene of the early 2000s. The series was built upon the surrealist 'exquisite corpse' game, where different artists contribute panels or pages without seeing the full context of their peers' work, resulting in a fractured, unpredictable narrative flow centered on the chaotic antics of the titular character, Rascal Randy.

The design of the series aimed to subvert traditional sequential storytelling, relying on the juxtaposition of disparate visual styles to create a sense of manic energy. Because the project invited various underground contributors to participate, the aesthetic shifts dramatically between pages. Upon its release, it was noted primarily by small-press enthusiasts for its experimental format and the raw, unpolished energy typical of the DIY zine culture from which it was spawned.
