FemForce #97

FemForce #97 was published in 1996 by AC Comics, serving as a significant entry in the long-running independent series that debuted in 1985. Created by Bill Black, the FemForce universe was heavily inspired by the Golden Age of comics, specifically focusing on a team of super-powered women fighting against both terrestrial and cosmic threats. The series sought to celebrate the aesthetic and tone of mid-century superhero storytelling while establishing a distinct continuity that allowed the characters to evolve over several decades.

The design and illustration of the FemForce series have consistently leaned into the classic pulp and comic book styles established by Bill Black and his stable of collaborators. By the mid-1990s, the series had secured a dedicated niche following among fans of retro-style comics. Issue #97 reflects this ongoing commitment to character-driven adventures, maintaining the series' signature blend of action, traditional comic art techniques, and the continued expansion of the FemForce mythology that had defined AC Comics' publishing strategy since the company's inception.
