Hanna-Barbera Presents #1

Hanna-Barbera Presents #1 was published in 1995 by Archie Comics as part of a short-lived attempt to revive interest in classic animation properties through a modern comic book format. This series was conceived to capitalize on the enduring nostalgia for characters like The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and Top Cat, aiming to bridge the gap between their mid-century television origins and the tastes of 1990s comic readers.

The editorial direction focused on anthology-style storytelling, allowing various creative teams to experiment with the Hanna-Barbera stable. While the series was intended to serve as a flagship showcase for these iconic cartoons, it arrived during a period of market contraction for licensed comic books, resulting in a limited print run that prioritized character-focused humor over the complex continuity favored by mainstream superhero titles at the time.
