Hanna-Barbera Presents #2

Hanna-Barbera Presents was published by Archie Comics in the mid-1990s as part of a strategic effort to revitalize classic animation icons for a modern comic book audience. Issue number 2, released in 1995, features the Flintstones and was designed to capture the aesthetic sensibilities of the era while maintaining the core appeal of the original television series. The creative team aimed to blend the nostalgic charm of Bedrock with a refreshed, comic-specific energy that appealed to both long-time fans and younger readers unfamiliar with the source material.

The publication was received as a straightforward anthology-style effort, serving as a nostalgic bridge for the brand during a period when Hanna-Barbera characters were frequently being adapted across various media platforms. The illustrations emphasized traditional character models while utilizing the color palettes and layout trends common in mid-90s indie comics. While it did not radically redefine the franchise, it remains a documented example of the licensed animation tie-in market that defined the era's comic landscape.
