Il Giornalino #v. 87 no. 13

Il Giornalino was a long-running Italian weekly magazine for children and adolescents, published by the Pauline Periodicals. Launched in 1924, it served as a Catholic alternative to secular publications, blending educational content with serialized comics and journalistic pieces. By the time this specific issue was released in the late 2000s, the magazine had spent decades curating a distinctive house style that favored clear, traditional illustration and moral storytelling, bridging the gap between religious instruction and popular entertainment.

The publication was highly influential within Italy for its role in nurturing local illustrators and writers, many of whom became pillars of the Italian comic scene. This particular issue, appearing during the 87th year of the magazine's run, reflects the publication's late-stage commitment to its classic editorial identity in an increasingly digital media landscape. It carries the legacy of the editorial team’s long-standing effort to provide a wholesome, family-friendly reading experience that stood apart from the more commercialized superhero-focused publications of the era.
