Il Giornalino #v. 87 no. 20

Il Giornalino is a long-running Italian weekly magazine aimed primarily at younger readers, published by the Periodici San Paolo group. Established in 1924, it became a cornerstone of Italian children's literature, blending educational content, current events, and serialised comics. The publication is noted for its Catholic editorial perspective and its commitment to providing wholesome, high-quality storytelling that has shaped generations of Italian youth.

The 20th issue of the 87th volume represents a late-period entry in the magazine's storied history. The design language of Il Giornalino typically leaned on traditional European comic art styles, often featuring a mix of established master illustrators and emerging talent. During this era, the publication continued its mission to balance narrative engagement with moral guidance, maintaining a consistent visual identity that prioritised clarity and accessible storytelling, even as the broader medium of comics shifted toward more experimental formats.
