Il Giornalino #v. 87 no. 27

Il Giornalino was a long-running Italian weekly magazine for children and adolescents, published by the San Paolo Group starting in 1924. By the time this specific issue from volume 87 was published in 2010, the magazine had established a decades-long reputation for providing a mix of educational content, religious-themed stories, and high-quality European comics. It served as a significant cultural pillar in Italy, often acting as a bridge between traditional values and the evolving landscape of contemporary graphic storytelling.

The editorial direction during this period focused on maintaining its signature aesthetic, which favored detailed illustrations and stories by notable Italian and international artists. Design choices were heavily rooted in the magazine's heritage of classic serial storytelling, emphasizing narrative clarity and accessibility for its youthful readership. It was generally received as a wholesome, family-oriented publication that successfully adapted its visual style over the decades to remain relevant while preserving a distinct identity rooted in its historical Catholic mission.
