Illustrerte Klassikere #113

Illustrerte Klassikere was the Norwegian iteration of the long-running Classics Illustrated series, which began in the United States in the 1940s as a project to introduce young readers to literary canon through the medium of comic books. Issue number 113 of the Norwegian series features an adaptation of Jack London's White Fang, a work that fits perfectly into the series' mission of providing accessible, visual gateways to classic adventure literature.

The publication was overseen by Williams Forlag, which adapted the American content for a Scandinavian audience. Like many entries in the series, the art prioritized clear, sequential storytelling and faithful period detail to evoke the atmospheric grit of the Klondike Gold Rush. While these issues were primarily marketed as educational tools for students, they have since been reevaluated as significant artifacts of mid-century European publishing and graphic design.
