Kemono Jihen #20

Kemono Jihen, written and illustrated by Shō Aimoto, began its serialization in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine in December 2016. The series blends supernatural mystery with character-driven drama, focusing on a young boy named Kabane who discovers his identity as a half-ghoul. Aimoto crafted the series to balance dark, gothic aesthetic sensibilities with the rhythmic pacing characteristic of modern shonen manga.

The twentieth volume continues the overarching narrative of the Kemono Agency, a clandestine organization that investigates occult phenomena. As part of the ongoing tankōbon releases, this volume maintains the series' distinct visual style, which emphasizes detailed character expressions and dynamic supernatural combat. Since its inception, the series has been noted for its ability to navigate complex thematic elements regarding identity and trauma, garnering a dedicated readership within the seinen and shonen demographics.
