Where it came from
Là Où les Étoiles Filantes Tombent, which translates to Where the Shooting Stars Fall, is a poignant graphic novel series that emerged from the independent French comics scene. Conceived as a delicate exploration of human connection and melancholic wonder, the second installment continues the atmospheric narrative established in the series' opening chapter, focusing on the intersection of personal growth and surrealist storytelling.
The visual identity of this issue reflects the hallmark aesthetic of the series, characterized by a soft, emotive color palette and fluid line work that emphasizes mood over rigid structure. Designed to evoke a sense of quiet nostalgia, the art style was intended by its creators to immerse readers in a dreamlike environment, garnering appreciation from critics for its poetic pacing and the understated elegance of its character development.
