Where it came from
La Nueva Patrulla-X was a long-running Spanish-language publication series from Editorial Forum that introduced the X-Men to a dedicated Iberian readership during the 1980s and 1990s. This series served as the primary vehicle for licensing Marvel Comics content, often repackaging multiple North American issues into a single Spanish volume to accommodate the local market's format preferences and printing schedules.
The content within these volumes typically featured the iconic work of writers like Chris Claremont and artists such as John Byrne or Jim Lee, reflecting the height of the X-Men's popularity during the Bronze and Modern ages of comics. The design and presentation were tailored for a European audience, focusing on durability and affordability, and the series is now considered a vital piece of international comic history that bridged the gap between American superhero mythos and global fandom.
