La Zorra y el Cuervo #117

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s, serving as a vital cultural touchstone during the post-revolutionary era. It functioned primarily as a platform for humor, satire, and children's education, often featuring recurring anthropomorphic characters that allowed for the exploration of social commentary under the guise of lighthearted storytelling.

The publication was heavily influenced by the aesthetic sensibilities of the Editorial Juvenil and its successor organizations, which prioritized accessible, clean-line illustrations designed to appeal to a broad readership. Issue #117 arrived during a period when the magazine had solidified its role as a fixture in Cuban newsstands, characterized by its reliance on a consistent creative team that balanced traditional fable-inspired narratives with contemporary stylistic motifs common to mid-century socialist-era graphic design.
