La Zorra y el Cuervo #12

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic book series launched in the 1960s, heavily inspired by the classic Aesop fable. The series was produced by the Editorial Juvenil in Havana, emerging during a period when the Cuban government sought to revitalize domestic children's literature and visual arts. It became a staple of childhood reading in Cuba, offering a localized interpretation of the wily fox and the vain crow within a distinctly socialist educational and cultural framework.

The character designs and illustrations were managed by a rotating collective of artists working under the state-run publishing system, characterized by a clean, vibrant aesthetic typical of the mid-century Latin American graphic tradition. The series was designed to be accessible and moralistic, blending slapstick humor with simple narrative lessons. While the specific artists for individual issues were rarely credited by name, the series is widely recognized by scholars of Cuban media as a vital component of the island's mid-20th-century pop culture landscape.
