La Zorra y el Cuervo #120

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban satirical and humor magazine that began publication in the mid-1960s, serving as a platform for political and social commentary during a transformative era in the country. Produced by the Editora Política, the magazine utilized the traditional fables of the fox and the crow as a framing device for its vignettes, employing sharp, often biting illustration and writing to reflect the complexities of revolutionary life and bureaucracy.

The visual language of the magazine was defined by the bold, mid-century modernist graphic styles prevalent in Cuban print media of the period. Artists and contributors to the series frequently leaned into minimalist linework and high-contrast color palettes to convey messages that were accessible to the general public while maintaining a sophisticated, subversive edge. Issue 120 represents a specific snapshot of this ongoing dialogue, reflecting the editorial priorities and artistic currents established by the magazine's long-running creative team.
