La Zorra y el Cuervo #165

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban satirical comic magazine that emerged in the mid-20th century, serving as a significant outlet for social and political commentary. The publication utilized the classic archetypes of the fox and the crow to mirror societal dynamics, often blending lighthearted humor with subtle critiques of the human condition. It became a staple of Cuban pop culture, reflecting the artistic sensibilities and editorial climate of the era through its distinct illustrative style and punchy, episodic narratives.

The design and aesthetic of the magazine were rooted in the traditions of mid-century graphic humor, emphasizing expressive character work and clear, accessible visual storytelling. Issue #165, like its predecessors, maintained the series' commitment to visual wit, featuring work by a rotation of local illustrators who helped define its iconic look. Upon its release, the magazine was widely received as a domestic favorite, valued for its ability to entertain while engaging with the common frustrations and joys of daily life.
