Where it came from
La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic series that launched in the mid-1960s, heavily influenced by the style of classic American animated shorts featuring the titular fox and crow characters. It served as a staple of Cuban youth culture for decades, often blending humor with the social and educational themes prevalent in the state-supported media of the era.
The character designs were inspired by the Terrytoons animations, though the Cuban iteration evolved to reflect local artistic sensibilities and storytelling techniques. Issue number 26 remains a sought-after piece for collectors of Latin American sequential art, representing the mid-period of the series when the publication was fully integrated into the Editorial Abril ecosystem and enjoyed wide circulation among Cuban families.
