La Zorra y el Cuervo #89

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that drew heavily from the visual and narrative traditions of the classic Aesop's fable, featuring the iconic characters of the fox and the crow. It served as a staple of Cuban popular culture throughout the mid-20th century, utilizing satire and comic strips to reflect on both universal human foibles and the unique social currents of the time. The publication was known for its distinct graphic style, which blended traditional caricature with the evolving aesthetic sensibilities of the Cuban press.

Issue number 89 reflects the typical editorial approach of the series, which balanced lighthearted illustrative storytelling with the biting wit characteristic of its era. The design and artistic direction were maintained by a rotating group of talented Cuban illustrators who sought to keep the publication visually engaging while adhering to its established thematic roots. Upon its release, the magazine was widely appreciated by a broad domestic audience for its accessible humor and its role as a consistent, culturally resonant piece of entertainment.
