La Zorra y el Cuervo #92

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic book series established in the mid-20th century, drawing significant inspiration from the popular American cartoon 'The Fox and the Crow' created by Frank Tashlin for Screen Gems. The series was adapted into a localized Cuban context by the Editorial Continental and later Editorial Oriente, serving as a primary source of entertainment for children throughout the island for several decades. Its narrative style emphasized playful trickery and slapstick humor, mirroring the dynamics of its international predecessors while embedding itself deeply into the domestic comic landscape.

Issue #92 represents a piece of this long-running legacy, reflecting the specific aesthetic and printing standards of the era's Cuban publishing industry. The design language leaned heavily on vibrant, high-contrast imagery and simplified character arcs that prioritized accessibility and episodic resolution. While individual artists often remained uncredited in the serial distribution model of the time, the series as a whole is remembered for its role in developing a generation of readers and establishing a distinct vernacular for humor-based illustration in Cuba.
