La Zorra y el Cuervo #90

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban comic book series that began publication in the mid-1960s, heavily influenced by the popular Eastern European animation style of the era. The series centered on the titular fox and crow, archetypes that allowed creators to explore satirical social commentary and lighthearted fables within the landscape of Cuban illustrated media. It became a staple of the national literary diet for generations of children and adults alike, serving as a medium for both entertainment and subtle moral instruction.

The design of the series relied on the distinct, expressive character work of its primary illustrators, who sought to imbue the animal protagonists with human-like relatability and comedic timing. Issue number 90 reflects the mid-series aesthetic, characterized by a shift toward more vibrant, experimental panels as the publication matured. It was received by the public as a cherished cultural artifact, helping to foster a robust tradition of sequential art in Cuba that remains culturally significant to this day.
