La Zorra y el Cuervo #93

La Zorra y el Cuervo was a prominent Cuban humor magazine that drew heavily from the tradition of didactic fables, specifically the archetypal pairing of the fox and the crow. Launched during the mid-20th century, the publication served as a cultural fixture, blending satirical cartoons, social commentary, and lighthearted illustrative storytelling. It became a staple of Cuban periodical literature, reflecting the evolving artistic sensibilities of the island’s illustrators and writers throughout its long-running serial publication.

Issue 93 exists within the established aesthetic of the series, which prioritized accessible, clean-lined caricature and character-driven narratives. The design ethos was rooted in mid-century graphic humor, emphasizing expressive character silhouettes and visual gags that transcended language barriers. While specific individual attribution for the illustrators of every internal strip remains elusive due to the collaborative nature of the magazine's editorial process, the series is widely regarded as a significant archive of Cuban visual humor and illustrative talent during the mid-to-late 20th century.
