Legends of the DC Universe #22

Legends of the DC Universe #22 was published in November 1999 as part of an anthology series intended to showcase various DC Comics characters outside of their regular monthly titles. This particular issue features a standalone story titled 'The Secret of the Seven', which centers on the character Hourman. The series was designed to provide a flexible platform for writers and artists to explore historical or tangential narratives that did not necessarily need to align with the core continuity of the time.

The issue was written by Tom Peyer and illustrated by Rags Morales, a creative team well-regarded for their work on the Hourman character during this period. The design and narrative tone were crafted to highlight the hero’s legacy and the mantle of the Hourman identity. Like many entries in this anthology series, it was generally received as a competent exercise in character expansion, aimed primarily at established fans of the DC mythos who enjoyed exploring deeper layers of the publisher's extensive back catalog.
