Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #12

Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #12, known in French as 'Les Foudres d'Hypsis' (The Wrath of Hypsis), was published in 1985 as part of the long-running science fiction comic series created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. The story marks a pivotal point in the series, concluding the trio of albums known as the 'Hypsis cycle,' which explored complex metaphysical themes and cosmic intervention. Set against the backdrop of Earth's socio-political climate in the 1980s, the narrative reflects the authors' trademark blend of space opera tropes and sophisticated, often satirical, social commentary.

Jean-Claude Mézières brought his distinct European science fiction aesthetic to this volume, utilizing his background as a former student of the Institut des Arts Appliqués in Paris. The design and visual storytelling sought to move beyond simple adventure, favoring expansive, imaginative world-building and character-driven stakes. Upon its release, the series was well-regarded for its influence on the visual language of modern science fiction, particularly its impact on cinema, and this specific volume is appreciated by critics for its ambitious scope and the continued evolution of the relationship between the two titular protagonists.
