Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #14

Linda og Valentin – Agenter i Tid og Rum, known internationally as Valérian and Laureline, is a seminal French science fiction comic series created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. The fourteenth volume, titled 'Les Foudres d'Hypsis' (The Thunder of Hypsis), was originally published in 1985. It serves as a pivotal entry in the series, continuing the sprawling space-opera narrative while showcasing Mézières’ characteristic blend of imaginative alien landscapes and sophisticated, character-driven storytelling.

The visual design of the series was highly influential, often cited as a foundational inspiration for modern science fiction cinema, including the aesthetics of the Star Wars saga and The Fifth Element. In this installment, the authors lean into complex geopolitical and cosmic themes, maintaining the refined ligne claire style that defined the series' evolution throughout the 1980s. The work was met with critical acclaim within the European bandes dessinées tradition for its intellectual ambition and the dynamic chemistry between its two eponymous protagonists.
