Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #20

Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #20, published in Denmark as part of the long-running science fiction series originally titled Valérian et Laureline, represents a late chapter in the saga created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. The series, which debuted in 1967, pioneered sophisticated space opera in European comics by blending political satire, complex temporal mechanics, and lush, imaginative world-building. This specific volume reflects the maturity of the creative partnership, as the characters transitioned from traditional adventure tropes to more existential and reflective narratives toward the end of their original run.

The aesthetic of the series was defined by Mézières' visionary approach to science fiction architecture and alien ecosystems, which significantly influenced the visual language of modern cinema, most notably the film The Fifth Element. By the time of the twentieth issue, the series had evolved into a cornerstone of Franco-Belgian comics, celebrated for its intellectual depth and its ability to challenge the conventions of the genre. The reception of these later works remained appreciative, particularly among European audiences who valued the consistent, decades-long progression of the protagonists' personal and professional evolution across the galaxy.
