Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #3

Linda og Valentin – Agenter i Tid og Rum #3, known in its original French as L'Empire des mille planètes, was published in 1971 as a sequel to the burgeoning space opera saga created by writer Pierre Christin and artist Jean-Claude Mézières. The story emerged during a period of creative expansion for the Franco-Belgian comics scene, where the authors sought to blend traditional science fiction tropes with political satire and complex, humanized character dynamics that departed from the more rigid archetypes of the era.

The design of this installment is quintessential Mézières, characterized by his innovative use of color and his ability to construct expansive, imaginative alien ecosystems that grounded the narrative’s more speculative elements. Upon its release, the work was lauded for its visual world-building and its narrative ambition, solidifying the series' reputation as a cornerstone of European science fiction that would eventually serve as a significant visual influence on subsequent global cinematic productions.
