Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #17

Linda og Valentin - Agenter i Tid og Rum #17, originally published in French as 'Les Ouvriers du Paradis', is a pivotal entry in the long-running science fiction comic series created by writer Pierre Christin and illustrator Jean-Claude Mézières. Debuting in 1967, the series was instrumental in shifting European comics toward sophisticated, philosophical science fiction that explored themes of political allegory and environmentalism. This specific volume serves as a mature reflection of the series' established aesthetic, characterized by Mézières' imaginative world-building and the complex interplay between the two titular space-time agents.

The creative vision behind this issue continues the series' legacy of subverting traditional space opera tropes. Christin and Mézières aimed to use the lens of futuristic adventure to critique human societal structures, often utilizing whimsical creature designs to contrast with serious narrative stakes. Upon its release, the volume was well-received by fans of the series, who praised its ability to maintain the consistent tone of the earlier installments while offering a self-contained narrative arc that deepened the character dynamics between Laureline and Valérian.
