My Home Hero #22

My Home Hero, written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Masashi Asaki, began serialization in Weekly Young Magazine in 2017. The series follows Tetsuo Tosu, a middle-aged salaryman who commits murder to protect his daughter from her abusive boyfriend, leading him into a desperate psychological battle against a criminal organization. The manga is noted for its high-stakes tension and exploration of how far an ordinary person will go to preserve their family unit.

Volume 22 serves as a pivotal installment in the series' long-running narrative, which concluded its primary story arc shortly thereafter. Asaki’s art style is celebrated for its gritty, cinematic depiction of suspense, effectively mirroring the protagonist's descent from a mundane life into the criminal underworld. The volume was published as part of the series' standard tankobon release schedule, maintaining the consistent visual language and thematic intensity that defined the thriller throughout its run.
