Predador vs. Juiz Dredd vs. Aliens - Genes Mortais #1

Predator vs. Judge Dredd vs. Aliens: Incubus, known in Brazil as Genes Mortais, was first published by Dark Horse Comics in the United States in 1997. It represents the height of the 1990s crossover trend, where publishers frequently mashed up disparate intellectual properties to capitalize on the popularity of cult sci-fi franchises. The narrative brings the law-enforcement icon of Mega-City One into conflict with two of cinema's most fearsome extraterrestrial species, utilizing the high-stakes, hyper-violent aesthetic common to the era's comic books.

The series was written by John Wagner, one of the original co-creators of Judge Dredd, and illustrated by Enrique Alcatena, whose distinct, ornate, and highly detailed art style defined the visual tone of the book. By pairing Wagner’s sharp, satirical understanding of Dredd with Alcatena’s intricate linework, the creative team aimed to ground the chaotic premise in a gritty, coherent visual world. The series was generally well-received by fans of crossovers, often cited for its ability to balance the dark humor of 2000 AD's flagship character with the high-octane horror of the Predator and Alien universes.
