Predator: Bloodshed #5

Predator: Bloodshed #5 was published by Dark Horse Comics in 1994 as the conclusion to a four-issue limited series, though it was numbered as the fifth installment following the narrative arc of the preceding 'Predator' titles. The story, written by Dan Curtis Johnson with interior art by Ron Randall, represents a significant period in the mid-nineties when Dark Horse aggressively expanded the lore of the Predator franchise through crossover events and standalone limited series that explored the creature's presence in human history and urban environments.

The series continued the publisher's trend of utilizing a dark, cinematic visual style to match the tone of the original film, with cover art frequently emphasizing the technological lethality of the extraterrestrial hunter. As part of the broader Dark Horse line of licensed properties, Bloodshed focused on bringing the Predator into high-stakes contemporary conflicts, a creative direction that helped solidify the character's transition from a singular movie antagonist into a staple of modern comic book science fiction mythology.
