Secrets of Haunted House #25

Secrets of Haunted House #25 was published by DC Comics in 1980 as part of their long-running horror anthology series. The title originated in the mid-1970s, capitalising on the post-Comics Code Authority relaxation that allowed for a resurgence of supernatural and gothic tales. Like many entries in the series, this issue features a rotating cast of creators contributing short, atmospheric stories designed to evoke classic pulp horror tropes within the established DC house style.

The issue includes contributions from artists such as Romeo Tanghal and writers like Mike W. Barr, who were staples of the DC horror line during this era. The aesthetic leans heavily into the moody, suspenseful illustration style that defined the publisher's mystery imprints at the time. While the series was never as iconic as the earlier 'House of Mystery' or 'House of Secrets,' it remains a representative example of the late-period anthology boom, aimed at readers who enjoyed suspenseful, self-contained narratives.
