Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #91

Groo the Wanderer #91, published by Image Comics in 1994, is a notable installment in the long-running satirical sword-and-sorcery series created by cartoonist Sergio Aragonés and writer Mark Evanier. The series began in the early 1980s, parodying the tropes of barbarian fantasy fiction through the exploits of an incredibly skilled but profoundly dim-witted warrior whose good intentions consistently lead to mass destruction.

The issue features the signature loose, expressive ink style of Aragonés, whose background as a longtime contributor to Mad magazine informs the title's reliance on visual gags and slapstick humor. Throughout its various publishers, the series has been celebrated for its consistency in tone and creative team, with Aragonés and Evanier maintaining a decades-long collaboration that remains a staple of independent comic book history.
