Sergio Aragonés Groo the Wanderer #94

Groo the Wanderer #94, published in 1993, belongs to the long-running comic book series created by Sergio Aragonés and writer Mark Evanier. The series began in the early 1980s as a satirical take on the sword-and-sorcery genre, centered on a dim-witted but incredibly lethal barbarian. By the time this issue was released, the series had established a dedicated cult following for its blend of slapstick humor, intricate background gags, and Aragonés's distinctive, fluid artistic style.

The creative process for Groo was famously collaborative, with Evanier providing the narrative structure and dialogue while Aragonés added visual jokes that often filled the margins and panels. This issue reflects the maturity of their partnership, showcasing the refined comedic timing and thematic consistency that defined the series during its Image Comics era. It was well-regarded by critics and fans alike for maintaining the character's core identity as a clumsy force of nature amidst a world that often failed to understand his chaotic impact.
